Continuing our monthly review of White Dwarf as a regular feature on Chicago Dice, I bring you issue five, January 2017. Due to a shipping error, my issue did not arrive until last weekend and I must ask for forgiveness for this late review. I’ll highlight each of the main features from the issue along with… Read More White Dwarf – January 2017
During the Thanksgiving weekend I assembled a pair of the new plastic M18 Hellcat kits produced by Italeri for Warlord Games. I had already completed and reviewed a pair of the fantastic resin Trenchworx Hellcat kits, and I wanted to write up a comparison of the plastic versus the resin kits for anyone deciding on… Read More Warlord Games plastic M18 Hellcat
I will now be posting a monthly White Dwarf review as a regular feature on Chicago Dice. I’ll highlight each of the main features from the issue along with a few photos. This change was met with both praise and criticism from readers. Now,… Read More White Dwarf September 2016

Enter the “Far East” range by Sarissa Precision. Excited to have a table that thematically matched my army, I picked… Read More Sarissa Precision Far East buildings
As part of my planned display board for the United States Marine Corps army that I’ve been working on for Bolt Action, I purchased several landing craft from Sarissa Precision. I purchased two of their Higgins landing craft (designed for personnel) and one of the LCM-3 landing craft (Landing Craft Mechanized, for hauling vehicles around).
When I created my Hobby goals for 2016, I had no idea that Games Workshop would announce Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower just a few weeks after my original post. Needless to say, the resurgence of the 1995 classic dungeon crawler took the gaming community by storm and shot right to the top of my project list. Before… Read More Review – Warhammer Quest – 1st Edition
