Warlord Games Open Day 2026

I was not in attendance but I’ve collected a few of the videos from Warlord Games Open Day 2026 and added additional notes for anyone interested. Full credit to the Warlord Games and Table Top Miniatures YouTube channels.

Rick Priestley & John Stallard Answer Your Questions! | Warlord Games Open Day 2026

Highlights:

  • Bolt Action
    • India Army – plastic Chindits with options for King’s African Rifles with Indian heads.
    • Plastic French Foreign Legion.
    • Plastic Polish Infantry and Cavalry.
    • No current plans for introducing planes into Bolt Action (further detail beyond the current rules).
  • Bolt Action ‘Modern’
    • Yes, that’s something we could see.
    • Making a Centurion, Pershing, IS-3 all in plastic.
  • Bolt Action ‘Skirmish’
    • We’ve tried it a few times, but it’s not for us, commercially.
    • But, a box with some SAS, some Germans, and terrain like a radar station is a good idea.
  • Bolt Action PC Game
    • If it does well, there will be a Konflikt one.
  • Black Powder: Third Edition
    • “I didn’t want to do a second edition. I thought version one was almost perfect. Not quite. But almost.” – Rick
    • What would I change for Third Edition:
      • Closing Fire is perhaps to effective.
      • Massed Artillery is too effective. Disproportionally so.
  • Beyond the Gates of Antares
    • Rick’s favorite faction was the Bormites.
  • What’s next for Epic after Zulu?
    • This is the thing we can never say because someone else will do and do it.
    • Expansions are coming for Epic Hail Caesar such as Battle of Thermopile.
    • No plans for further Colonial Warfare in Epic (Sudan, Abyssinia, etc.) beyond Zulu.
  • Konflikt ’47
    • Any plans for additional factions? Yes.

Konflikt ’47 Q&A | Peter, Dan & Jon | Warlord Games Open Day 2026

Highlights:

  • Thoughts on the end-date for the timeline?
    • The game will stay Konflikt ’47 but that does not mean it’s locked into those years.
    • Grounded by history, but then impossible after that.
  • Rift War Vol. III
    • Have not decided what will be in it yet.
    • The location of the next Rift (the fourth) has been decided.
  • Soviet Starter Set will be available for pre-order in the next few weeks.
  • Plans for “Veteran” units of troops that are from specific parts of the narrative. Themed units of Elite troops that have survived the Rift War so far. Take the base Bolt Action plastic infantry and add a sprue of K47 upgrade bits. It’s an effort to make Basic Infantry more thematic and viable on the table.
  • The game will be expanded beyond the current five Factions.

John Stallard Interview – Bolt Action French, Polish and could we see Moderns? from Table Top Miniatures

  • A “modern” game is going to happen:
    • “Modern” being from Korea until now.
    • Possibly one book covering the various conflicts.
    • Vietnam, Gulf War, etc.
