It’s back.

On Nov. 22, 2012, the Kickstarter for Kingdom Death: Monster went live. Over the course of the campaign KD:M raised over 2 million dollars. At the time, it was the highest grossing board game of all time.It was not until almost a full three years later, in October of 2015, did my copy of the game finally arrive.

Long story short, it the greatest board game I have ever played. And now, it’s back.

The Kickstarter for Kingdom Death: Monster 1.5 launched on Nov. 24, at midnight, Black Friday, and in the past 12 days has raised over 7 million dollars. As I write this post I can literary watch the dollar amount increase. It’s gone from $7,032,428 to $7,037,341 in the span of about ten minutes.

I have one objective with this post; to get you to consider backing Kingdom Death: Monster 1.5. But I need to be clear, this game is not for everyone. This is not a family game. This is not a game you can bring to grandma’s house over the holiday break. It’s dark. It’s violent. It contains gratuitous nudity. It’s hardcore. And again, it is one of the greatest board games I have ever played.

I’d like to dedicate another post to why this game is special and why it’s the greatest board game I’ve ever played. But right now, you just need to go a take a look and consider picking up a copy.
