Well Hello Third Edition
Please keep in mind this is one of the first events using the Third Edition rules. We are in the Wild West period. There are no hard bans at this time but lists are subject to approval at the TOs discretion. If a list feels like its trying to exploit the new rules it may be denied. If you have questions or want feedback on a list please let Shane know. If your list is denied, there will be an explanation!
If there is a disagreement within the rules players are urged to resolve between themselves. Please use the common sense ‘rule of thumb’ if it seems unrealistic in the real world then it probably is and remember it is just a game! A TO ruling can be asked for at any time.
Army Building Requirements
- Must use the same nation for all three games.
- You must use the same Army List for each game.
- Only Rulebook and Minor Nation PDF units are allowed.

- 4 Platoons max
- 18 Order Dice max
- The latest FAQ & Errata will be used for the tournament.
- The Chicago Dice Bolt Action: Third Edition Community FAQ & Errata will be used for the tournament.
The Four Star Open is meant to bring newcomers and veterans together for a “friendly” tournament. Please leave any Win At All Costs attitudes at home! We look to keep our tournaments fun and whilst healthy competition is encouraged this is not a free license to “break the game.”
